Bleeding Heart

Bleeding Heart or Lamprocapnos spectabilis has beautful flowers that look like hearts hanging from the branches. Bleeding Heart is a rhizomatous perennial and deer-resistant. It is native to East Asia. It blooms late spring and early summer. In colder climates it prefers sun but if it is hot it grows well in shade or partial shade.

About Dino Bernardi

I am a flower enthusiast and a gardener at heart. Ever since childhood I would read about plants and started gardening and managing a large garden in my teen years planting and growing a variety of plants, flowers and trees both outdoors and in a greenhouse. To this I enjoy visiting gardens and parks and learning and seeing new and old specimens and varieties of plants.
