Geranium Sanguineum or Bloody Cranesbill is also called Bloody Cranesbill, or Blood-red Cranesbill is a rhizomatous perennial belonging to the Geraniaceae family of plants. It has palm like leaves and grows to about 14″ or 20cm tall. It is native to Europe and it is deciduous. Plant it in moist, well-drained soil in partial shade or full sun. It could be a ground cover or could be planted in rock gardens. Flowers in Spring with deep pink or magenta flowers.
