Geranium sanguineum or Bloody Cranesbill is also called Bloody Cranesbill, or Blood-red Cranesbill is a rhizomatous perennial belonging to the Geraniaceae family of plants. It has palm-like leaves and grows to about 14″ or 20cm tall. It is native to Europe and it is deciduous. Plant it in moist, well-drained soil in partial shade or full sun. Geranium sanguineum could be a ground cover or could be planted in rock gardens. Flowers in Spring with deep pink or magenta flowers.
