
Iris Sangreal
Iris ‘Sangreal‘ (Holy Grail) is a rhizomatous perennial. It is clump-forming. It is part of the Iridaceae family of plants. Iris ‘Sangreal’ is deciduous. It is a hybrid bearded Iris. Jacob Sass cultivated it and registered it in 1935. It is a hybrid between Iris pumila and Cardinal x ‘Autumn King‘.

Iris ‘Sangreal’ flowers are bright yellow. The beard is slightly darker and orangish. It is a repeat bloomer. Iris ‘Sangreal’ flowers in early summer in May or June. It grows to about 80cm or 3ft tall.

Grow Iris ‘Sangreal’in the sun. Plant it in moist, fertile but well-drained soil. Propagate from offsets or rhizomes.
