Sorbus zayuensis is from the Rosaceae family of plants. Tse Tsun Yu and LT Lu described and it is native to Tibet. They call it 察隅花楸 cha yu hua qiu in China. It is a small tree that grows to about 4m 13ft tall.
The trunks and branches are brownish-gray. It has green, imparipinnate, glabrous foliage. It has white flowers. Fruit follows the flowers. The fruit is white with hints of pink.
