Geranium sanguineum is also called Bloody Cranesbill, or Blood-red Cranesbill. It is a rhizomatous perennial. It is part of the Geraniaceae family of plants. It is native to Europe.

It has palm-like leaves. It grows to about 14in or 20cm tall. Geranium sanguineum is a ground cover, it is also ideal for rock gardens. It flowers in spring The flowers are deep pink or magenta.

Grow Geranium sanguineum in the sun or partial shade. Plant it in moist, well-drained soil.
