Aloe or Aloë is a genus of over 500 plants. Aloe ‘Blue Elf’ is a hybrid which is sometimes also called California Aloe or Aloe ‘Blue Boy’. It actually is not Aloe California but sometimes it is sold as.
It is tight clump-forming, dwarf succulent. It is evergreen. Aloe ‘Blue Elf’ has slender rosettes. Leaves are upright and are tooth-edged. It can grow up to 45cm or 18in tall. The leaves sometimes change color if stressed or due to extreme weather. It is part of the Asphodelaceae family of plants.
