Araliaceae

Araliaceae is from the order of Apiales. It is also known as Botryodendraceae or Hydrocotylaceae. It’s family members are predominantly with a woody habit, tropical, and some herbaceous plants. Some of the better-known plants include Fats, Ginseng, and Hedera. Araliaceae has 55 genera with about 1500 species.

Most Araliaceae species usually have alternate and large foliage. Some are aromatic with ethereal oils. The flowers are five-petaled and simple umbels. The berries usually without carpophores. Most are woody though some are herbaceous. Most are tropical.
