Spiraea x arguta

Spiraea x ‘arguta’ or commonly known as Garland Spiraea, Spiraea x arguta ‘Bridal Wreath’ or Bridal ‘Arguta’ is from the Rosaceae family of plants. Its origin is Europe and is a hybrid from crossing Spiraea x multiflora and Spiraea thunbergii. A deciduous shrub has white flowers in spring. It is easy to grow.

You can plant Spiraea x ‘arguta’ in almost any type of soil it adapts well to most conditions and it is rather low maintenance. It even responds to hard pruning, if necessary and it is overgrown. Spiraea x ‘arguta’ is pest-free and disease-free. Propagate by softwood cuttings in the summer after flowing is done. Plant it in the sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. It can grow to about 1.5 to 2.5m or 5 to 8ft.
