Tibouchina heteromalla or Silver Leafed Princess Tree has velvety silver-green leaves and grows to 8′ to 10′ tall. It is an evergreen and you can see strong veins on the leaves. Thrives in full sun and moist soil. It is native to South America especially Brazil and belongs to the Melastomataceae family of plants. It blooms during summer and fall.
