Zephyranthes candida is a bulbous perennial. They also call it Argyropsis candida, Peruvian Swamp Lily, Rain Lily, Sea Onion, Summer Crocus, or White Zephyr Lily. It is part of the Amaryllidaceae family of plants. It is native to South America. It grows to about 20cm or 8in.

It produces basal leaves. They are linear. And the flowers are cup-shaped and crocus-like. They are white and about 4cm or 2in wide. Zephyranthes candida flowers in summer or early autumn.

How to grow Zephyranthes candida:

Grow Zephyranthes candida in the sun. Plant it about 10cm or 4in deep in moist, moderately fertile and well-drained soil. Avoid winter wet weather. Propagate Zephyranthes candida by seed or offsets. It is generally disease-free and pest-free.
